Among many assembly options, automated assembly is often the method of choice for many of our customers. Automated placement is used for projects with very high volumes where precise placement is critical. Additionally, automated assembly significantly increases assembly speed and efficiency.
Marian designs and manufactures custom parts for automated assembly to fit seamlessly into our customers’ existing assembly processes. We can also modify many different aspects of the final part and packaging from liner type, part spacing, part orientation, and quantity of parts per roll.
Precision Slit Foam Tapes for Automated Placement into Medical Device
Marian engineers have developed advanced techniques in precision slitting that sets them apart from other material converters. Marian provided slit rolls of foam tape that met the length and width tolerances. The material was free of splices, wrinkles and debris.
Additionally, Marian created packaging (reels) for the foam tape rolls that made the material easier to handle in the customer’s automated process. Each roll/reel is individually bagged and labeled to ensure cleanliness. Read more…
Extremely Small Electrically Conductive Foam Washer for Automated Placement
Marian offered to supply the customer with a part that could be placed accurately and automatically using the AccuPlace system.
Though the die-cut part was extremely small (.256” x .157”), Marian was able to cut them precisely. In fact, Marian developed a specialized process to ensure that the small center slugs were removed uniformly. Read more…
